BBS Facades’ in-house facilities can support you with cost-effective fabrication and supply of panels whatever the size of project – from modest home renovations to million-pound city developments. Boasting a wide range of facilities, including two computer operated beam saws of 3m and 4.2m in length, as well as a CNC machine, we can handle every scale of project.
Gary Fitzgerald, Regional Director for BBS Facades explained that “The computer operated beam saws allow us to cut fully optimised panels as per the customers’ requirements, plus the CNC allows us to offer further cutting, drilling, grooving and shaping of panels so they can arrive to site just in time, ready for installation”.
The fabrication needs for each project varies depending on size and design requirements. Gary continues; “Prior to starting the job, we advise that you obtain and share as much detail as possible with us, this includes conducting an accurate site measure and supplying us with detailed drawings”. Chloe Harding, Sales Office Manager at BBS’s Swanley branch commented; “By supplying us with more details and information from the offset will make for a more seamless and accurate process”.
Our expert sales teams use the latest MagiCut system to optimise the panels and provide our fabrication team with the information they need. Russ Church, Area Sales Manager for the Cheltenham branch said; “On average, we can reduce 15-20% of wastage by optimising the boards, which ultimately saves our customers money too. I would always suggest getting the project optimised as it could take into consideration something that has been missed or overlooked”.
One of the largest projects supplied by BBS in recent months is the Cardiff Innovation Centre. Jason Berry, Internal Sales Executive at BBS Cheltenham said “BBS are still in the process of supplying Central Cladding Systems with approximately 4000m2 of Equitone Natura and Pictura in various colours. All the panels have been optimised to offer the best use of the panels, before being cut and drilled in house by the BBS Facades fabrication team and delivered in phases when required on site. Offsite fabrication brings a wealth of benefits to our customers, from creating an easier installation process, saving time and reducing labour costs. Plus, our vehicle fleet allows us to offer phased deliveries as and when the customers require. This benefits our customers that have less storage space, as well as preventing product becoming damaged whilst sat on site”.
